University of Ibadan Nigeria Vice Chancellorship between 12 profs, one external candidate

Following the great job carried out by the present out-going Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, 12 Professors are reportedly jostling for the job, of which one of them happened not to come from this great institution.
The out-going VC's works and reputation precedes him, as he maintain the standards set for the institution by his successor and even perform better in bringing some old artifacts and buildings to a modern form, solidifying the security sect, etc.
The five year tenure of the present Vice-chancellor, Prof. Isaac Adewole expires in November 2015, which stir up the setting up of a committee, that was made up of all the representatives of the unions on campus including the Students’ Union Government about two weeks ago.

4.   F.O Egbokhare (Linguistics and African Languages),
5.   Arinola, O. Sanya (Physiotherapy),
6.   B.O Fagbemi (Veterinary Microbiology and Parasitology),
7.   L. Popoola (Forest Resources Management), 
8.   A.I Olayinka (Geology), 
9.   A.I Oluleye (Industrial and Production Engineering),
10. O.D Olaleye (Virology), 
11. A.E Falaye (Aquaculture and Fisheries Management) 
12. A.A. Agbaje (Political Science) 

All the above mentioned professors are from the University of Ibadan except the number one Prof. A. Adedeji.
Professor Nelson Fashina, the Chairman of the committee, University of Ibadan Community Forum 2015′, who is also charged with the responsibility of short listing the prospective new VC, has hinted that the committee would organize a platform where all candidates vying for the position will interact with the university community.
Prof. Fasina said, “All candidates therefore earn respect for their personal opinion, vision and mission, such that no one of them can be intimidated or harassed. All the candidates, will be given equal
opportunities. It is a forum that is meant to articulate the conjunction of positive interest in the direction of unity and harmony as necessary condition for further propagation of the academic excellence.” As reported by Ola Ajayi
