HOW TO FIX YOUR ATM CARDS WHEN ATM MACHINES AND POS CANNOT READ THEM

ATM cards are the medium through which a bank customer can access his money without making a physical appearance at the counter. It also serves as a necessary material when making an Online internet payment due to the unique numbers printed on it that is linked to your account details. In times of urgent needs ATM cards and a working machine use to serve as an angel that definitely help to refund one's purse. what if by the time you try to use the machine with the card inserted and it could not see or read the card, what are the things that you should do immediately in order to ensure you never lack fund due to card error in the machine? these are the things we would be discussing here.
what are the problems that could happen to an ATM card?

1. Breaking of the card
2. Chips on the card might have rusted
3. Black film at the back of the card have been torn away or partly removed
4. Chips on the card might have peeled off the card

The error language displayed by the machine

1. Card not smart
2. This card could not be read
3. This card could function well
4. Card Error etc

Possible Solutions to the Card Problems

1. Assuming you want to use the card at the super market and its not responding, know that most Point Of Sales (POS) machines are configured to read the magnetic black stripe at the back of the ATM card.

A. It might have been covered by dirts or due to your purse, the lethal skin of your purse might have had a layer on it. CLEAN THE SURFACE OF THE BLACK STRIPE USING SOLVENT THAT WOULD DRY EASILY OR YOUR CAN WIPE IT WITH CLEAN CLOTH FOR IMMEDIATE USE. 
B. The black stripe might have been partly or wholly removed from the card. IF PARTLY REMOVED, YOU WILL NEED A PRESSING IRON AND A SMOOTH SURFACE. WITH THE IRON ON MEDIUM HEAT, PLACE THE CARD IN BETWEEN TWO CARD BOARD AND IRON CONTINUOUSLY UNTIL THE STRIPES ARE BACK TO NORMAL. THIS METHOD COULD ALSO BE USED WHEN YOUR CARD IS BENT OR PARTLY BROKEN.
ALSO ENSURE YOU DON'T PUT TWO ATM CARDS BLACK STRIPES SIDE BY SIDE, SO THEY WONT LOSE THE MAGNETIC PROPERTY BY INDUCTION.

2. Assuming you want to use the card at the ATM machine and the machine shows Error code or card is not smart or card could not be red. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE CHIPS ON THE CARD HAD PEELED OR RUSTED. FIRST USE SOLVENT ON THE GOLDEN CHIP SURFACE, TO FREE IT FROM DIRTS OR IF YOU HAVE CLEAN CLOTH WITH YOU, YOU CAN USE IT ON THE DIRTY SURFACE. TEST IT, IF ITS STILL NOT WORKING, THEN APPLY PRESSURE ON THE CHIP SURFACE, BY PRESSING THEM DOWN WITH YOUR THUMB. BY DOING THIS, THE PARTLY REMOVED CHIPS WOULD FINDS ITS PROPER PLACE AND THE CARD WOULD WORK WITHOUT YOU APPLYING FOR A NEW CARD AT THE BANKING HALL.

The solutions above have been practiced by me, as i use to have constant problem with my ATM cards, which could leave me stranded sometimes for months before i would be re-issued another card. In fact it occur to my GTB Bank ATM card and also Sterling Bank ATM card respectively in Nigeria.
